Overview:
Diriyah Gate Development Authority (DGDA), a public authority, has been tasked with preserving the historic Diriyah district of Riyadh while developing its surroundings along a heritage and traditional theme.
The new development is in the western district of Riyadh, KSA, and is expected to become a center for history, heritage, and culture at regional and national scales, with the UNESCO world heritage listed mud construction district of Atturaif, whose structures formed the origins of the House of Saud from the 1700s.
It is the intention of the Employer to deliver the 4 No. carparks on a D&B basis with a pre-concept design, and initial DGDA approval before developing the Employer Requirements and concept design provided by the Consultant. Furthermore, it is the intention to deliver 2 No. Pedestrian Bridges on a design–bid–build approach, with concept, schematic, and detailed design provided by the LDC. It is intended to appoint 3 No. Main Contractors to deliver the works - (1) Al Bujairi, (2) Samhan, and (3) Ajmakan, Northern Cultural District, and 2 No bridges. Bujairi Car Park P1 will be the first parking building to be designed out of all the above.
