The Conceptual Master Plan for Qiddiya was developed in conjunction with the Bjarke Ingels Group (BIG).
Qiddiya Sports Hub will enclose the facilities and flexibility to host a variety of sports in part due to this, the form of the building is split into three different elements, two rectilinear forms house the main halls, gymnastic and training areas, then to the east sits the velodrome its architectural form adapted from the unique track its sports require.
At the heart of the Sports hub are the multipurpose Halls that need to provide a sporting facility that is for all Saudi citizens. The venue will have a strong focus on promoting participation in sport for the Kingdoms youth. This is reflected in the design and planning of the linear facility which promotes ease of accessibility from the Sports Spine and sports plaza.
